In a moment of insanity, I decided to register to do the TNGA (Trans North Georgia). It’s a 350 mile, 56,000 feet of climbing, self-supported ride / race that has a 9 day time limit and has a 50% failure rate at first attempt.

The Trans North Georgia (TNGA) is a non stop off-road race across the northern section of Georgia through the Appalachian Mountains, starting in South Carolina and finishing in Alabama. There is no support, no aid stations, no ‘crew’ to help you.

This section of the trail is host to both the Georgia Jewel 100 trail run and the Snake Creek Gap TT, along with the Trans North Georgia (TNGA) challenge.
